Welcome to my corner of the internet! I’m Katie Galimanis, an aspiring public relations professional from Oregon where I’ve proudly earned a spot on the Dean’s List for all eight terms. I thrive on stepping out of my comfort zone and diving headfirst into new adventures.
My professional experience includes working for Portland-based firm Lawrence PR, where I sharpened my skills in media outreach, client collaboration, and project management. I reached out and connected with a wide array of individuals, including news producers and influencers, who were ideal matches for the specific client projects at hand. I also tracked coverage and collaborated on various client projects. My responsibilities required a keen eye for detail and effective teamwork.
Beyond my love for PR, I strive to impact others’ lives positively. As a University of Oregon Student Orientation Staffer, I seamlessly blended my passion for helping others with my professional aspirations. Guiding groups of incoming students through a dynamic orientation experience taught me quick thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication. As well as handling audiences of up to 500 people, I showcased my ability to connect with others and foster a welcoming environment for all.
